Softball Recap: Burgin Comes Up Short

Powell County hit Burgin with a five-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 7-6.

Ashton Lester made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Burgin's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Powell County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-11.

Coming up, Burgin will host Thomas Nelson at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Powell County, they will head out on the road to take on Morgan County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
