Softball Recap: DuQuoin Comes Up Short

DuQuoin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-3 to the Pinckneyville Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-10 two weeks ago.

Lucy Milam was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. McKenzie Eaton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

DuQuoin's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Pinckneyville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

DuQuoin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-1 defeat against Frankfort on the 22nd. As for Pinckneyville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-11 win against Anna-Jonesboro on the 22nd.
