Cox is 10-0 against Ocean Lakes since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Cox Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Ocean Lakes Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Cox lost to Kellam at home by a 52-36 margin. The matchup marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Ocean Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 32nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Princess Anne 77-29. While losing is never fun, the Dolphins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 94th).

Cox has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Ocean Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 0-17.

Everything came up roses for Cox against Ocean Lakes when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 59-27 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cox since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
