Baseball Recap: Wimberley Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Wimberley proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Davenport Wolves 3-2. The Texans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolves, too.

Wimberley secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Jaden Hall, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Wimberley's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Davenport, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 18-5-2 record.

Wimberley will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolves: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
