Baylor proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 39) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles 35-34. The Red Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gavin Owens, who threw for 314 yards and one TD while completing 86.4% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Another player making a difference was Walker Bryson, who gained 123 total yards and a touchdown.

Baylor's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baylor will face off against Brentwood Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they will take on Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
