Baseball Recap: Burlington Find Success

St. Joseph typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Burlington proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 7-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Demons.

The team relied heavily on Carter Behling, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Weston Kairis was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Burlington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Burlington's record now sits at 10-14. As for St. Joseph, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-6 record this season.

Burlington will venture away from home to take on Verona at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Joseph, they will welcome Waterford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lancers 3.4, the Wolverines 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
