Volleyball Recap: ALA - Ironwood Comes Up Short

ALA - Ironwood entered their contest against Canyon View on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. ALA - Ironwood took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canyon View. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

ALA - Ironwood was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21.

Erick Hernandez paced ALA - Ironwood's offense, picking up nine kills. Hernandez got some help from Joseph Tampos and his 11 assists. Finally, Riley Adair kept ALA - Ironwood's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

ALA - Ironwood's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Canyon View, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 3-10 record.

ALA - Ironwood has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Marana on the 29th. As for Canyon View, they will host Sunrise Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Canyon View their first taste of in-conference action this season.
