Softball Recap: Ash Fork/Seligman Has No Trouble Against St. Michael

Ash Fork/Seligman's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Everything went their way against the St. Michael Cardinals as they made off with a 10-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spartans considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Isabella Acosta was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing four bases. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aspen Bond, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Ash Fork/Seligman moved to 4-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for St. Michael, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ash Fork/Seligman beat St. Michael by a score of 13-9 later that day.
