On Monday Kaplan's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Barbe Buccaneers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

Kaplan's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Barbe, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Kaplan will challenge Pineville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 12 runs per game this season. As for Barbe, they will square off against DeQuincy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
