Softball Recap: Boyd-Buchanan Comes Up Short

Boyd-Buchanan managed to slip by East Hamilton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Boyd-Buchanan came up short against East Hamilton on Wednesday, falling 6-0. The Buccaneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Boyd-Buchanan got a good showing from Kate Murley, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, Murley posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

Boyd-Buchanan now has a losing record of 1-2. As for East Hamilton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Boyd-Buchanan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-9 loss against Girls Prep on the 13th. As for East Hamilton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-1 defeat against Soddy Daisy on the 14th.
