Soccer Recap: White Oak Comes Up Short

White Oak lost against Richlands back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, White Oak can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Richlands are ranked 106th).

White Oak's goal came courtesy of Brianne Sanchez, who's now up to 19 this season.

This is the second loss in a row for White Oak and nudges their season record down to 7-10-6. As for Richlands, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1.

White Oak has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Croatan on the 7th. As for Richlands, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-2 draw against Swansboro on the 7th.
