Volleyball Recap: Montezuma-Cortez Takes a Loss

Montezuma-Cortez suffered their biggest loss since September 5th on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Alamosa Mean Moose. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Mean Moose: they've now lost seven in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14, 25-13.

TessaMercedes Jackson paced Montezuma-Cortez's offense, picking up four kills. Jackson got some help from Addison Sopha and her five assists.

Montezuma-Cortez's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Alamosa, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Montezuma-Cortez wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Centauri on the 27th. As for Alamosa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Bayfield on the 27th.
