Baseball Recap: Maine South Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Niles West typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Maine South proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Wolves. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won four in a row.

Russell Hengels looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Maine South's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alex Vale, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Another was Luka Stojakovic, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
