Baseball Recap: Pleasure Ridge Park Picks Up 36th Straight Win at Home

Pleasure Ridge Park faced Larue County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hawks, sneaking past 5-3. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on six straight.

Pleasure Ridge Park pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their 36th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Larue County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasure Ridge Park will head out to face off against Holy Cross at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Larue County, they will venture away from home to challenge North Oldham at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
