Basketball Recap: Kentucky Country Day Comes Up Short

If Kentucky Country Day was riding high fresh off their 79-57 takedown of Louisville Collegiate last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kentucky Country Day Bearcats had to suffer through an 85-39 loss at the hands of the Jeffersontown Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Chargers are ranked 29th).

Kentucky Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Jeffersontown, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Coming up, Kentucky Country Day will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Brown at 7:00 p.m. As for Jeffersontown, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 87-73 victory against Moore on the 14th.
