Softball Recap: Hancock Has No Trouble Against Turkeyfoot Valley Area

While Hancock put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Turkeyfoot Valley Area. The Panthers put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 15-0 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Taylor Weller was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Hancock got a massive performance out of Sydney True, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and three RBI. Those three RBI gave True a new career-high. Alyssa Keefer was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Hancock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .786. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hancock is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
