Basketball Recap: Warden Comes Up Short

Warden lost against Okanogan back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warden Cougars took a blow against the Okanogan Bulldogs, falling 99-44. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 37th).

Warden's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Okanogan, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warden will head out to face off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Warden likes a good challenge. As for Okanogan, they will head out on the road to square off against Ephrata at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Okanogan is facing Ephrata at the right time seeing as Ephrata is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
