Baseball Recap: Mission Comes Up Short

Mission lost against El Camino back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mission fell just short of El Camino by a score of 4-3. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Noe Zuleta made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Mission's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 0-6 when he doesn't).

Mission's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for El Camino, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

When Mission and El Camino next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Mission will square off against Capuchino and their three-game winning streak at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, El Camino will try to stop South San Francisco's three-game winning streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
