Recap: Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles vs. Bowman Academy Eagles
The Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past Bowman Academy with points to spare, taking the game 59-40. That's another feather in the cap for Lake Station Edison, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Kahlen Robinson and Janiyah Jackson certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Robinson scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, while Jackson scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Robinson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Lake Station Edison's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Bowman Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Station Edison will challenge River Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bowman Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Bend Career Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. South Bend Career Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last 15 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
