Arleta posted their closest victory since August 25, 2023 on Friday. They skirted past the Taft Toreadors 35-32. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between Austin Ramos and his top target Erik Favela. Ramos threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes while Favela picked up 172 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards. Arleta also got a significant boost from Jose Rosas, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 95 yards.

Taft's loss came despite strong showings from Wesley Parvizi and Nathan Swinson. Parvizi gained 88 total yards and two touchdowns, while Swinson threw for 139 yards and three touchdowns. Parvizi also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending a pass.

Arleta pushed their record up to 2-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Taft, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
