Volleyball Recap: St. Stephen's Episcopal Comes Up Short

St. Stephen's Episcopal's tournament run continued when they took on Leander on Friday. The Spartans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elise Bowman paced St. Stephen's Episcopal's offense, picking up seven kills. Bowman got some help from Katherine Oehler and her seven assists. Sydney Durrett controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. Stephen's Episcopal now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Leander, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

St. Stephen's Episcopal wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Eagle Pass on the 15th. As for Leander, they are taking a road trip to square off against Cedar Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
