Volleyball Recap: North Valley Takes a Loss

If North Valley was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Rogue River on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights lost 3-0 to the St. Mary's Crusaders on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost seven in a row.

North Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for St. Mary's, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

North Valley and St. Mary's should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. The Knights will square off against Brookings-Harbor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (71 vs. 211). Meanwhile, St. Mary's (ranked 64th) will meet Rogue River (ranked 244th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
