Paradise and Gridley are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Bobcats will square off against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Paradise duked it out with Live Oak two weeks ago. The Bobcats secured a 33-27 W over the Lions. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Paradise's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Aaron Davis, who threw for 224 yards and four TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, and Evan Higgs, who gained 136 total yards and two touchdowns. Davis Limbaugh also helped with two scores in total.

Meanwhile, Gridley got the win against Colusa on Friday by a conclusive 27-7. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Bulldogs just coasted through the last quarter.

Paradise better keep an eye on Eli Punzo. He was instrumental in Gridley's win, rushing for 211 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. Another back making a difference was Isaac Punzo, who rushed for 94 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Gridley's run defense was locked in: Colusa could only muster 2.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Jace Griggs for the heroic effort on defense: he. Gridley didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.3.

Paradise's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Gridley, their record is now 3-0.

Paradise was taken down by Gridley 41-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
