Softball Recap: La Jolla Country Day Comes Up Short

La Jolla Country Day came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Maranatha Christian Eagles, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 back in April.

La Jolla Country Day has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Maranatha Christian, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

Looking ahead, La Jolla Country Day will challenge El Cajon Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Maranatha Christian, they will face off against Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
