Basketball Game Preview: River Ridge Royal Knights vs. Springstead Eagles + How To Watch

The River Ridge Royal Knights will face off against the Springstead Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. River Ridge will be strutting in after a win while Springstead will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, River Ridge needed a bit of extra time to put away Palm Harbor University. They skirted past the Hurricanes 70-67. That's two games straight that the Royal Knights have won by exactly three points.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Springstead and Hernando, and Hernando kept the tradition alive. The Eagles took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leopards on Friday.

River Ridge will need to focus on slowing down Sam Franco, one of several Springstead players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Orlando Feliberty, who put up nine points and four steals.

Springstead's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for River Ridge, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

River Ridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Springstead in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, sneaking past 73-71. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Eagles' Divine Torain, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 30 points. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for the Royal Knights to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
