Basketball Recap: Lake Fenton Comes Up Short

Lake Fenton was the 53-46 winner over Hamady when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Lake Fenton Blue Devils were outmatched by the Hamady Hawks and fell 61-17. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 468th, while the Hawks are ranked 91st).

Lake Fenton dropped their record down to 3-14 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hamady, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Coming up, Lake Fenton will head out on the road to face off against Brandon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Fenton is facing Brandon at the right time seeing as Brandon is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hamady, they will welcome Flushing at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Flushing's defense has only allowed 25.5 points per game this season, so Hamady's offense will have their work cut out for them.
