Basketball Recap: Brayden Reinke Key Part of a Team Effort in Indians Win

Mosinee won the last time they faced Southern Door and things went their way on Friday too. The Mosinee Indians walked away with a 72-64 victory over the Southern Door Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Mosinee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Reinke out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 19 boards. The dominant performance also gave Reinke a new career-high in blocks (four). Another player making a difference was Carson Balgord, who posted 23 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Mosinee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Mosinee's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Southern Door, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Mosinee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 75-64 win against Green Bay Preble on the 28th. As for Southern Door, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-60 victory against Washington on the 28th.
