Basketball Recap: Lake View Find Success

Lake View's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 50-37 win over the West Columbus Vikings. The Wild Gators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

When it comes to explaining why West Columbus lost, don't look at Iyana Lowery. Despite the final result, she went 7 for 9 on her way to 18 points and five steals. Lowery is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

The victory got Lake View back to even at 1-1. As for West Columbus, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Lake View will head out on the road to challenge Johnsonville at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Columbus, they will welcome Union at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
