Basketball Recap: Stringtown Takes a Loss

Stringtown fought the good fight in their overtime game against Tushka on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 66-59 to Tushka. Stringtown lost against Tushka in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 60-31 score last time.

Tushka's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kason Hull led the charge by putting up 23 points. Tushka is 3-1 when Hull posts 15 or more points, but 2-5 otherwise. Cleat Zike was another key player, shooting 71% from the field on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Stringtown's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Tushka, their record now sits at 5-6.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Stringtown and Colbert will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 8:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. The Leopards have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Tushka, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Caney at 7:00 p.m. on January 13, 2026.
