Basketball Recap: Baboquivari Comes Up Short

Baboquivari lost against Douglas back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 78-25. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Diego Lopez had another great game (as he tends to do), shooting 58% from beyond the arc to rack up 30 points in addition to eight boards and four steals for Douglas. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lopez has scored at least a third of the Bulldogs' points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Felix, who posted eight points and nine assists.

Baboquivari has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Douglas, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Baboquivari has already played their next matchup (against Crismon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Douglas, they have also already played their next game, a 62-51 victory against Mogollon on the 12th.
