Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Thunder vs. Kelso Hilanders

For the second straight game, Mountain View will face off against Kelso. The Thunder will face off against the Hilanders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Mountain View took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Kelso, sneaking past 8-7.

Brendon Lawson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Lawson was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Fellows, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Logan Josephsen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

With the defeat, Kelso broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-3. As for Mountain View, their record now sits at 6-10.
