After flying high against East Henderson on Monday, Chase came back down to earth. The Trojans fell just short of the Brevard Blue Devils by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Charlize Byrd was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Callie Cole, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Chase's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Brevard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Blue Devils beat Chase by a score of 8-2 on Thursday.
