Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Briggs). They walked away with a 64-54 win over the Independence 76ers on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Bruins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Briggs' victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Independence, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Briggs will be home for the holidays to greet Eastmoor Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Briggs is facing Eastmoor Academy at the right time seeing as Eastmoor Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Independence, they will host Marion-Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
