St. Mary won the last time they faced Pioneer and things went their way on Saturday too. The St. Mary's Rams walked away with a 50-42 victory over the Pioneer Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

St. Mary's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Hinkston led the charge by putting up nine points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Roman Castro, who posted eight points and three steals.

The win got St. Mary's back to even at 7-7. As for Pioneer, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary's will host West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pioneer, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Leigh at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
