Volleyball Recap: Brownstown/St. Elmo Extends Winning Streak to Four

Brownstown/St. Elmo entered their tilt with Dieterich on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Movin Maroons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since October 28, 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Brownstown/St. Elmo got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 21-25, 25-21.

Brownstown/St. Elmo found their leader in sophomore Jenna Forbes, who had six digs and four aces. Presley Williams also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Brownstown/St. Elmo was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive games.

Brownstown/St. Elmo's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Dieterich, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brownstown/St. Elmo will take on Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dieterich, they will square off against North Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
