Softball Recap: North Woods Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

North Woods won the last time they faced Chisholm and things went their way on Tuesday too. The grizzlies blew past the Bluestreaks 12-2.

Addison Burckhardt was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Burckhardt was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Brynn Chosa was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Zoey Burckhardt was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

North Woods' win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Chisholm, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

North Woods didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-5 victory against Cook County on the 15th. As for Chisholm, they have also already played their next matchup, a 13-3 defeat against Barnum on the 14th.
