Volleyball Recap: Ayersville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ayersville lost against Patrick Henry back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pilots came up short against the Patriots, falling 3-0. Pilots fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Patriots since Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12, 25-19.

Brooklyn Michel paced Ayersville's offense, picking up ten kills. Michel got some help from Ava Sigler and her 20 assists. Michel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Patrick Henry found their leader in freshman Whitney Feehan, who had 13 digs.

This is the second loss in a row for Ayersville and nudges their season record down to 13-7. As for Patrick Henry, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Ayersville and Patrick Henry should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Pilots (ranked 173rd) will meet Antwerp (ranked 616th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Patrick Henry will square off against Holgate at 5:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (37 vs. 526).
