Softball Recap: Union Preparatory Starts Season with Victory Against Sugar Creek Charter

Union Preparatory had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats a 23-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Polar Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sugar Creek Charter is on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Union Preparatory will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Greater Cabarrus S at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st. As for Sugar Creek Charter, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Piedmont Community Charter at 4:00 p.m.
