Baseball Recap: Ayala Find Success

Ayala picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the La Canada Spartans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Nolan Chuang tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caleb Trugman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Jonah Boyd was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base.

Ayala's record is now 2-0. As for La Canada, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Ayala and La Canada will both be playing Arcadia the next time they take the field. The Spartans will head out to face the Apaches at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
