Weiss came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Americas Trail Blazers.

Weiss easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13.

Weiss was led to victory by Ashley Go and Calah Williams. Go had ten digs and two aces, while Williams had five digs. Go has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Despite the defeat, Americas had strong showings from Sydney Avila, who had ten digs, and Victoria Mata, who had eight kills, seven digs, and one block. Anaisabel Orta also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Weiss' win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Americas, their loss ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-6.

Coming up, Weiss will take on Smithson Valley in a tournament on Friday. As for Americas, they will head out to face off against Eastlake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
