Soccer Game Preview: Conifer vs. Pomona

The Conifer Lobos will square off against the Pomona Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Conifer turned things around against Summit on Saturday. Neither they nor the Tigers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Conifer's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Pomona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 13-0 to Golden. While losing is never fun, Pomona can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Golden are ranked 18th).

With that draw, Conifer's record moves to 2-4-1. As for Pomona, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
