Baseball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Frankfort on Wednesday, Franklin County came back down to earth. The Flyers fell 6-2 to the Whitley County Colonels on Saturday.

Franklin County dropped their record down to 8-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Whitley County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Franklin County will challenge Harrison County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Thorobreds/Fillies will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Flyers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Whitley County, they will face off against Williamsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
