Basketball Recap: Millwood Bobcats vs. Amelia Academy Patriots

The Bobcats fell 38-34 to the Amelia Academy Patriots on Friday. Despite the loss, Millwood had strong showings from Hazeem Karim, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds, and Griffin Aktalay, who posted 14 points along with eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of James McRae, who earned four points and eight boards.
Amelia Academy found their leader in freshman Shayne Jackson, who put up 15 points. Jackson's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.
