Softball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside fell victim to South San Antonio and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Bobcats, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost six in a row.

Southside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayliegh Tijerina, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for South San Antonio, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Southside and South San Antonio will both be playing MacArthur the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will head out to face the Brahmas at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Bobcats will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
