West Central hasn't had much luck against Pioneer recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Trojans will head out to face off against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. West Central's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Pioneer's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Pioneer will be up against a hot West Central squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Trojans didn't even let Argos on the board on Tuesday, marking the Trojans' second-straight 3-0 shutout.

05/05/25 vs South Newton | 2 |

The result came thanks to Jalie Glasford's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kailee Bishop, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Pioneer didn't have quite enough to beat North Miami on Tuesday and fell 10-9.
Lois Layer was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and nine unearned) runs off six hits. Layer was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Olivia Fisher was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Addison Kennell was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
West Central's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Pioneer, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-9.
Pioneer's pitching crew better be locked in on Thursday. West Central hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. It's a different story for Pioneer, though, as they've been averaging only 0 home runs. Will they be able to keep West Central in the park?
Everything went West Central's way against Pioneer in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as West Central made off with a 13-2 victory. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
