The Legion Preparatory Academy Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the La Vega Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Legion Preparatory Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Legion Preparatory Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy, but they still walked away with a 43-38 victory. Legion Preparatory Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Palyn Reid, who scored 14 points. Neenah George was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Meanwhile, La Vega got the win against Hendrickson on Friday by a conclusive 67-43.
La Vega got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alaysia Gude out in front who scored 16 points. Gude continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mar?Cyah Willis, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Legion Preparatory Academy's win lifted them to 9-2 while Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy's loss dropped them down to 4-8.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Legion Preparatory Academy and La Vega are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Legion Preparatory Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 58.4 points per game. However, it's not like La Vega struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 56.1 per game.
