Softball Recap: Athens Christian Eagles vs. The King's Academy Knights        
        
		
             Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Athens Christian). They were the clear victor by  a  22-1 margin over The King's Academy Knights on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight matches by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
  Paisley Perry was a major factor no matter where she played. She  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Perry was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news, Athens Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Blair Carter, who  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs, and a  triple. Another player making a difference was  Harper Westbrook, who  scored four  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Athens Christian  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 16  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  hit at least eight  hits in five consecutive  matchups.
 Athens Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for The King's Academy,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Athens Christian will welcome George Walton Academy  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. George Walton Academy will roll in looking for their  ninth straight  win, something Athens Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for The King's Academy, they will face off against Tallulah Falls at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The King's Academy is facing Tallulah Falls at the right time seeing as Tallulah Falls is stuck on  a  nine-game losing streak.
