Softball Recap: Riverside Prep's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Riverside Prep waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Excelsior Charter Eagles by a score of 9-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Silver Knights also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Bree Garcia was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

In other batting news, Denise Hernandez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two triples, two RBI, and one run. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Isabelle Obregon was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Riverside Prep's record is now 13-9. As for Excelsior Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Riverside Prep beat the Eagles by a score of 12-9 on Thursday.
