Baseball Recap: Tooele Takes a Loss

Tooele was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 10-6 to the Park City Miners. That's two games in a row now that the Buffaloes have lost by exactly four runs.

Gabe Sutherland was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Madex Vonhatten, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Tooele's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Park City, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Tooele will challenge rival Hillcrest at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Park City is set to square off against their familiar foe Cottonwood at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
