Volleyball Game Preview: Xavier Prep Saints vs. Desert Mirage RAMS

Xavier Prep hasn't had much luck against Desert Mirage recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Saints will venture away from home to challenge the RAMS at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Xavier Prep is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Coachella Valley, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Desert Mirage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Desert Hot Springs.

While Desert Mirage ultimately came up short, they really made Desert Hot Springs work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 22-25, 26-24.

Xavier Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Desert Mirage, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Xavier Prep suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Desert Mirage in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Saints avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
